Love Thy Neighbor

The 1970’s were a strange time, the clothes, haircuts, flared trousers, some of the tv shows ….. here’s our 21st Century take on one show, Love Thy Neighbour. Derek Laud was keen for it to be set in Sloane Square, it ended up in Willesden Green…

There are three levels of comedy. At the bottom we have “Jackarse” (not a typo, why pick on Equus Africanus Asinus?) and at the top it is “Hardtalk” (which judging by the above comments perhaps I should point out is a reference to politics rather than a telephonic service for the socially challenged). This lies in between and I thought actors and script were great.

i think it could possibly have been a little it funny with better actors… but the script is pretty shoddy – so probably not!
