Comedian Ivan Brackenbury pulled th plug on the live Christmas Broadcast of the Queen's Speech by saying ‘Two words: Bor-ing’ promptly leading him to be fired by the radio station. What do you think was it funny or in bad taste?

bad taste. She may be boring, but has served as Queen for longer than he has been alive....she does a lot of good for people and has bought a lot of tourism to the UK. There is nothing wrong with having those views, BUT they should be kept private.

I think he was right to a point. however she has to be non-judgemental and impartial,so to a degree so she is restricted in what she says it has to be relevant to most british subjects. so that comes across as being boring in most circumstances

Not Right to say the Queens Speech is boring,ok she only talks for 10 minutes but She always praises the Armed Forces,The RAF etc for what they do for her and our country.
Also I find what the Queen has to say really interesting and dont find it boring.

well I personally don't agree, but everybody has the right to their own opinion and her comment isn't exactly going to change the world

although i agree that her speech can be boring i think he was rude and shouldnt have said it. some people must enjoy it so he should keep his opinion to himself.

Each to their own opinion, but you should never force your opinion on others.

I think he is entitled to his opinion but didn't need to pull the plug to demonstrate it

There are still people who enjoy it and are old fashioned and realise what her restrictions are. She is there to be respected, and she should have been

I bet HRH would LOVE to be less "Boring" (Define "Boring" btw?) but her speech has its place is a traditional part of British Christmas - like it or not!

I am not a royalist but the Queens speech is a Christmas tradition like eating sprouts and pulling crackers. He should have shown a little more respect.

Bad taste. He totally overlooked all the positive messages that she gives out, praising people who serve our country.
